Sony Ericsson rolled out its version of a low-cost smartphone running the Android operating system. Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 is an multimedia entertainment smartphone with a touchscreen. Timescape the social-media portal on the Xperia X8 offers quick access to all of a user’s social-networking sites, as well as a single button for one-click access to entertainment content like Sony Ericsson FM radio, video streaming, and video viewing. The entertainment-focused Xperia X8 sets the stage for game play with games from the Android Market or watching clips on YouTube, browsing the web, or downloading music. The device comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a 3.2 mp camera with video-recording. Users can upload Video clips to Facebook, complete with geotagging and the ability to create albums. Android OS gives you true Google Experience While the X8′s is entertainment centered, It has plenty of other things packed into it. The browser offers bookmarks and pan and zoom functions. It also has push e-mail, instant messaging, picture and text messaging, predictive text input, and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync support. Like any Android device the included Google services are the Android Market client, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Latitude, Google Maps with Street View, the Google search widget, Google Talk, and YouTube.
